Long Bio :	<p>British artist Arthur Trevor Haddon was both an oil painter and watercolorist who specialized in landscapes, seascapes and the country genre. He was also a skilled portraitist and painter of figures. In 1883, at the age of 19, he won a 3 year art scholarship to the Slade schools in England and later studied painting in Rome and Madrid.</p><p> Haddon was extremely well traveled, painting views in Europe and on both American continents as well as in the south pacific. He lived chiefly in London, but also resided in Cambridge and for a time Rome. During his career he authored several books on travel and art.</p><p> A member of the royal society of British artists from 1896 until his death in 1941, the artist exhibited extensively and won prizes at prestigious venues such as the Suffok Street galleries, the royal academy, the new watercolor society and held various exhibitions at many other important galleries of his day.</p>
