Long Bio :	The name of "T. Bailey" has been a somewhat mysterious artistic nomenclature. Recent discoveries support the identity as belonging to American artist William Paskell, who in an effort to maximize his output and patron possibilities in the era of the Great Depression, painted maritime oil on canvas subjects under the name ‘T. Bailey', and as ‘H.H. Howe', produced oil landscapes. He painted many watercolors and pencil drawings under his own given name. Known to have marketed his stable of artists directly through galleries, he also traveled the countryside selling paintings directly out of his station wagon-converted art studio. He is on record as saying he painted "art for commerce" and "art for artistic sake".
