Dated 1881

Awarded to the Yacht BERTHA in 1881 from the Royal Dockyard Regatta of that year, this oak and silver tankard pitcher has the names of her four gentlemen sailors on a silver plaque. It is banded as well, and has a porcelain liner. Their “Second Place” finish earned them this artifact, complete with the satyr-head pour spout and hinged lid.
