Very interesting small British Cannon which has a 1 3/8 inch bore. Previous owner purchased the cannon from United Kingdom where it is recorded that it was used as a signal cannon to indicate rising and falling river tide. The cannon bears the crest of the City of Newcastle, so it was likely used on the River Tyne.
