A beautiful and nice large mahogany quadrant with an engraved arm of floral decorations. The ivory scale is divided into degrees from 0 to 90, with a +/- margin of 5 degrees beyond both. The center ivory inlay is a newer blank, while the small minute scale at the end of the sliding arm has some jagged loss to its smaller ivory scale, but is still fully legible. The period hard-oak case has a shallow fit to the instrument.
