This full dockyard model was on display with the Royal Life Saving Society in Southport as an incentive for people to contributions to the Society’s efforts. It features the functional double-end design, but with a large rudder in place for great control to assist in control in the heavy shipping traffic to and from Liverpool. She was the fifth boat in the renowned and infamous service, which had experience hundreds of successful rescues but a tragic loss of lifesavers two years prior to the launching of the EDITH and ANNIE in 1878.

The model has exceptional details, with the two masts laid inside her hull have their bundled sails for when the conditions allowed their employment. The model is painted in the traditonal colors of the service, and has the “supported by voluntary contributions” plaque on the hull beneath the boldly painted identity.
