The five masted barkentine ANNE COMYN was built by the Rolph shipbuilding company of Rolph, California for the pacific freighters company whose house flag may be seen flying from the main truck. The 2,265 ton vessel was outfitted and rigged after launching by the Haveside chandlery of San Francisco. She was managed by Comyn Mackell & Co and on her maiden voyage in 1920 made a record breaking passage to Australia.
