This fine brass bell with molded rim includes a ropework sally attached to the clapper. The tone of the bell is clear.

The SS LUTTERWORTH was a passenger and cargo vessel built for the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway in 1891. The ship was built by Earle’s Shipbuilding of Hull and weighed in at 1002 tons. The ship would be acquired by several other Railway companies during her time at sea including the Great Central Railway, the London and North Eastern Railway and the British and Irish Steam Packet Company before ending service in 1933.
