8 1/8 inch diameter, 11 1/4 at widest with handles, 5 1/4 high

Circa 1860

This Sunderland chamber pot features humorous inscriptions on both sides with an image of a man with another saying on the inside. It’s an unusual piece of humor from an age often associated strict codes of conduct and speech. Note: there is a crack on the piece near the bottom.

Dear lovely WIFE pray rise & Pss.
