Model Measures 26 L x 3 Inches B x 10 Overall Height in Inches

Circa 1870
Case measures 31 L x 9 W x 16 ½ H Inches Framed

A striking and sleek Thames River Excursion Steam Ship, DOLPHIN has the elongated clipper bow with twin-dolphin carved figureheads. The helm is situated in a stern cockpit, and while the primary gangway is amidship, the fore cabin opens with double doors and a sliding roof hatch. The 50′ long ship was built from the design of Thomas V. Trew. Still possessing masts, it was a single-screw steam vessel in all relevant application.

The ferry boat steamer model is in excellent, original condition in its hardwood and glass case. It has a nice high profile for the actual smaller footprint space of this model, making it a good choice of a display area of smaller proportions.
